Is this a new model?  Can't say I've ever heard of "Black".  The originals have been great rods for me.  Never any of the breaking issues that people like to report.

My cousin just got the XH 8'0 from bass pro i'll tell you how it olds up. I witnessed my brother snap to carrot stix on from the base and the other near the tip. I doubt i'll ever buy one of those.
