Since no one has started a thread on this tourny yet I figured I would start it.  Well i hope the fishing is better than it was last weekend.  I fished around and talked to a lot of poeple that were out there and it was a tough day for everyone it seemed.

When is Safe Light/launch?  What time will someone be there to collect the Money?

Nothing worse than fishing a tourney on Cross Lake...EXCEPT fishing a tournament on Cross Lake in the rain!  :'(

This is the first TCTC tournament I have been off for, so we will be there anyway!

JMGullo

I will be fishing a tournament in Texas so good luck to everyone. Stay safe and dry.

Thanks for getting the thread started Andrew! We've been trying to get back in the groove at work after the UBCS and just forgot ~b~!

Time does change this Sunday as we "Spring forward". Sunrise is 0730 so we'll launch at safe light before that.

Current weather forecast is fo 50* at launch warming to the mid 60's with a 60% chance of rain during the day. Winds are out of the south at 5-10. But like Barry said this could/WILL change 36 different times between now and then ::)!

Hope to see everyone there! Glad to hear you can make it James!! And Barry, you better give Trey another reminder about 0500! ;) lo

YES IT WAS THAT BAD DOWN THERE!!!!! Is there any reason why every tourney we fish is post front conditions. I mean, this is getting ridiculous!!!! Dont worry Steve, we'll be there... I cant wait to hear the bitching from Trey ALL DAY LONG while its raining. Our boat may sink

We will be there as long as I get my boat out of the shop.  Getting a new lower unit after blowing up mine, plus getting some cup added to prop, and a little "tune up" from Walt.  Cant wait to get it back on the water.

Hopefully this will be an instance where the weather never lives up to all the hype they're spewing right now! (insert praying emotican here)!

Fishingfun86

If it is raining like they say it will rain Sunday...I will NOT be there! The way I look at it is I will spend $20 on a sticker to fish the lake once maybe twice, entry fee (even if it is small), probably $80 worth of gas in the truck and the boat (at least) just to spend 8 or so miserable hours in the rain, being soaked, on a lake I hate with a passion! I can stomach fishing Cross and not catching a thing for a club tourney but doing it in a torrential downpour all day? I don't think so!

We will play it by ear! Is the sticker office open on weekends?

Fishingfun86

I hear ya! I will be there rain lightning or snow ;D  Yes the lake patrol office is open 7 days a week and opens at 7 am and closes at 6pm

Is Cross of limits on Saturday to those who plan to fish the Sunday tournament???  Not for fishing purposes but more or less to look at spots and water clarity...Thanks

No off limits time for TCTC. If you want to stick your fish then please, go right ahead! lo

Nutt

I got my boat from Walt today, so we are a go unless it is pouring down.  I agree with what BA said as far as suffering at Cross in a downpour.  A drizzle or light rain is one thing, but if it is pouring down, we wont make it.  Is postponing for a week a consideration?  May be better fishing with a better turn out.  But then again, maybe not.  This is Louisiana, so maybe the weather will change.

We already pushed it a week due to the UBCS. Another week puts it against the Big Bass Extraveganza. Forecast is changing every 6-12 hours. It's looking like rain off and on now. By the time Sunday rolls around we'll probably be down to a 40% chance of light rain! ::) lo
