In support of our annual Adopt A Family Raffle, we are having raffles though the year to generate additional funds. Bud Kennedy is donating a reel of choice for this raffle.

If you win the raffle  you pick your reel from these four
(it will be brand new, shipped TYD from Monster Fishing Tackle)

Baitcasting reels
Shimano SLX ($99 value)
Daiwa Fuego ($109 value)

Spinning Reels
Shimano NASCI 2500 ($99 value)
Daiwa Fuego 2500 ($99 value)

How it works = each month I will sell tickets to a piece or pieces of bass fishing gear. I will only sell so many tickets and when that number is reached we'll do a drawing. I'll use the raffle tickets like with the Adopt A Family program and we'll do a quick video, not a production but rather a quick live online video of me at the desk. This is just to keep the integrity of the process.

To win a hundred dollar reel we'll sell 25 tickets for $10 each.

To purchase tickets, pay pal make sure when you send the pay pal funds that you select "friends and family". If we have to pay fees it quickly eats up the funds being raised. PLEASE PUT YOUR SCREEN NAME IN THE PAYPAL COMMENTS thank you.

SECOND PLACE DRAWING

Nats is going to send 8 jigs and 2 bags of plastics (see photo in this thread) to the second place winner. So there are two chances to win. I figure Nats prize will retail value at about $30 so even if you don't win the reel you still win on a $10 ticket :-*

Just for my own information how long is this one going to be open to take funds? I'll be able to get some more out starting next Friday if it's still going on.

Thanks to all of you who bought raffle tickets.  I am looking forward to learning who the winner will be and what their selection is.  Your kind participation to the Adopt A Family project says a lot about who you are and a fine representation of our membership.  Thank you so very much.  I can't believe how fast all the tickets were sold.  This was such a great experience that I might have to start thinking about the next prize that should be considered for a raffle in the coming months.

It is easy to get the wife's approval when it goes to this project.

I'll get this all taken care of in the next day or too. Really expected this to take until mid next week but our members are the best... Just awesome.

I've got the list taken care of. I have to verify the payments and then we'll get the drawing. It probably won't happen until tomorrow or Monday. I suddenly got a lot on my plate.

Don, this reel is a ratio 5.3:1  not a 6.2:1.  Do you still want it?  I do see some catalog pages reference this number but they are talking about bearing count of 6+1

Hey Lip, that's why I didn't enter the Bass Classic contest since I still haven't used all the baits I won last time. 
Next time I'll just donate and not enter.  at age 76 I really don't need any more fishing gear, baits, etc., for the rest of my "career".  I'm taking a few setups to my grandsons next time they let me out of the cage here.

A couple of great hauls here.

I'm about to start the rod raffle. I want to get through all the insurance stuff from the hail storm this week and start Monday if it works out.
