Well the bass were not biting anything. We used every jig in the box with the matching trailer. Well i figured since watermelon seed works good with chartruese spike-it then i could dip the tails of a Zoom Fat Albert watermelon seed twin tail grub in spike it the put it on a jig that might work.......Well i decided to put it on a black jig. My friend threw out and caught a 6,7,and a 6.5 in three casts. i caught three 5's and a 4 and after then from now on every where i go they hit them like crazy. its like when they first came out with "woops"y shad and they hit it so much. but jigs.

Spike -it is a liquid dye for plastics. Comes in a bottle, and you just dip the plastic in it & let it drain a few seconds. Changes the color of a plastic, so in Elitebass's post, he was dipping a watermelon plastic into chartreuse dye. Some of the Spike-it also has scent in it. I know a guy who fished for Striped bass here who swears by that dye & garlic scent. The only problem with the dye, don't get it on a fiberglass boat deck, it stains it real bad.

Good job! Sometimes color doesn't matter at all but sometimes it can make all the difference in the world.

I dip the forked part of the tail on my flukes in chartreuse almost everytime I tie one on.

Figured out if ammediately after I spike it if I dip in in the water it gives me a brighter chartruese color rather than just caring it to get it wet.
