Well I just got back home after an awesome weekend down on the G. I did not go home empty though. Won some cash and ended up a little more than half a pound away from winning it all.

Might I add it was awesome to meet Randy too.

Yea I have a tournament in Oklahoma or I would be there. We slayed them on Saturday but couldn't muster anything over 3.5 lbs. Sunday we caught 5 fish with this one an hour before the end.

As far as info goes, I will share what I can.

My big fish was caught on a jig off of rip rap. It was really a hailmary as we have nothing but rock at home. Saturday my partner caught several in the mats but they were scattered. We caught several on a frog but nothing larger than 3.2.

I honestly think we were too far back in the creek (honeycomb area) as the water was still 76. We saw tons of fish moving in and out of the area and tons of shad, but no real commitment.

We caught more fish on the rip rap and wood structure than we did the grass.

I do think grass lines will be key as most people we talked to that were catching them were hanging out by those areas.

Thanks very much for that! I'm coming a fair way to fish a big lake and I appreciate you helping out.  Good luck next week!
