Does anybody use their anti reverse? I've never used it, just leave on and never think about it.

I use to check it once in a while to see if the switched worked. lo But can probably count on one hand the times I have ever used it.

Very popular with Walleye fisherman.  Lock the drag, turn off the anti reverse and backreel.  Works great with bait, create a mess when you're working a bait like a jerkbait or a fluke.  Might be worth trying with a drop shot.  Also good when you have a big fish on light line close to the boat, switch it off and back reel to augment the drag.

I use the anti-reverse, I trust my drag.

In all of my years of fishing spinners, I have never used the anti-reverse.

Absolutely.  Drop shot with #6 and hook a big smallmouth in current and back reeling is your friend.

Nope never used it.  I normally lock mine

Dink Dawg, I've seen Northern anglers use the anti-reverse a lot for smallies. What's the difference between adjusting the drag and using the anti-reverse?

Line twist can be a pain if your drag is pulled too often. Big smallies are hard on line using the drag.
