Hey guys,

Tony from Michigan here.  Racing against weather and virus to get some spring fishing in before they decide to close all the ramps.

I've been lurking on this board for a while, but now that I have an abundance of time on my hands I'm trying to become more active on the forum.  I'm also passing the time by making videos about my outdoor passion.

Here in Michigan we are on lockdown for the rest of April, so I decided to make a couple videos about my boat and my kayak.  I thought about posting a link here but before doing so I want to respect forum etiquette and make sure it's okay.  I don't make any money on my channel.  I'm just bored and want to share videos with others who are bored too.

Anyway, love the forum and no matter what I'm going to make a point of participating more.

Regards,

Hi Tony, Glad to have you come out from the shadows and get to know everyone.

In case you haven't found it we have a board for Kayakers and other small watercraft ---> Here

We also have some Weekly Contests where we give away prizes from the generous companies that sponsor our site so be sure and get in on those too each week as they become available..

We love pictures around here. Please feel free to post some pics of your catches anytime in our Catch of the Day board.

We're looking forward to seeing you around the boards and to learning from what you share with us.

In the meantime, if you need any help with anything at all please don't hesitate to contact me or any other staff member.

I'm in Oakland County.  I'm sorry to say that they placed motorized boats on restriction until May 1st.  We can still use a kayak but even that is being discouraged.  It's crazy what's going of lately.

Thank you.  And I agree that any day fishing is a good day. In fact it is said that every day fishing is one day longer you will live.   ~cf

It is going crazy. I saw where your governor just about locked everything down over there and said no vacation travel either. My Daughter is down here in Chicago taking care of her mother and she wants to go back home to Plainwell for a few days but don't want to take the chance of not being able to come back to Chicago. She has been self quarantined here with us for about a month and don't want to take the chance of going up there and bring something back here.

I saw that. Mark Zona made the announcement on Instagram and posted the phone number for the Governor's office asking everyone to call and complain about how assinine and illogical it was.

Here in MA the fisheries commission is actually encouraging fishing and boating so long as you observe a safe distance between each other and other watercraft. We have had several large reservoirs delay there openings but no official shutdowns have happened on any fisheries yet.

Hope they lift that restriction for you soon.

In the meantime hang out here with us and talk fishing!  :-*

Shout out for the Soo!  We go to Sugar Island twice each summer.  But I guess this summer is a question mark.

I don't think I ever made it to Sugar Island.  I did go to a small one that you got there by car Ferry and I will never forget, because as soon as you got to the island, they had a sign that said "Eat more Possum!"  ~roflmao
