I have inserted a link about this reel.
Does anybody have any good (or bad) info about this reel  :-\
It is on sale here at the moment from $250 ~ $180. Is this a good reel for the price. Any help would be appreciated.

that is very high  i bought 2 stx at $200 ea and delo has them for $180 i think and the sx is going for $150. they are very good reels i am working on replacing most of my reels with these. http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/reels/abugarcia.html

Steve, the Abu Garcia SX Revo sells for $149.99 here and the STX is $199.99 unless they have one hellova mark-up for freight and availability you might want to order one direct from PureFishing-Abu Garcia................ ~shade

I have both and just have had a ball with the SX as it is 6.4:1 ratio and the STX is a 7.1:1
and at this time is tooooo fast for the fish swimming in our 50* water......
I have the SX spooled with 40# PowerPro and with 3/8oz weight it almost runs the spool out if i get crazy............I have had Shimano's, Daiwa's, Pinnacles, other Abu's, and some Extreme's but this reel is "DaBomb"................ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~  OH and did I mention it has the Highest Drag Ratio on the market of ANY reel available.......24# Drag for the SX and 18# for the STX...........Only the Quantum CX comes close at 18# of drag so it you use 65#
PowerPro and get hung-up if you yank real hard The West Coast of USA might come up  lo
Really though it should have little problems with ship-wrecks....................

The Abu is the only reel on the market today made for Braided Lines specifically

We have sold through what we got in at the store I work at.  My Tx partner bought one and used it for the first time today.  Let's just say that he isn't an "accomplished" baitcasting guru, but he was able after two casts to get the tensioner and brakes dialed in and fish the rest of the afternoon.  That is remarkable.

I spooled one up at the store for folks to demo and I must say that I was very impressed with the little SX reel.  If it weren't for the small size, I would have picked one up already myself.  I'm used to the larger housing on the Shimanos I use so it is still up in the air whether I end up buying one.

LoonyToon

That seems to be the biggest draw-back if any for the SX is it's smaller size compared to other LP Reels..........It is small, but mighty-----------Yeah Eric I even got me a Citica..tryin
to get used to it's massive size, but it works pretty good

Personally I do not like a Six Pin centrifical braking system while fishing on a boat as I have to take the side cover off to adjust the pins and stops and if there is incliment weather I have been known to drop a side plate over-board---then I have NO reel to fish with.................I can find very Little Difference in this Revo SC and a Revo S...Both have the same spool capacity, bearing and construction but your Revo Sc is $20 >--NoMas

I purchased the STX-HS about a month ago and did not like it the first time I used it. After I switched my line from Seagar 15lb flourocarbon to 12lb Pline copolymer I can't put it down. The drag is unreal, the power is wonderful, it is as smooth as any reel I have used and it casts great. It is light enough to use for any application and it is great for flipping. The 7.1 ratio makes it wonderful for topwater and fishing around heavy cover. If I could afford it I would have 8 of them. However, I still think the Daiwa Advantage supertuned 153HST is a better reel for the money since it is half the price but not a better overall reel.....too bad it does not come in a 7.1.

Cause there is no diff other than the sc is the same as the s but with high speed and comes in red.

So it's $50 for the difference in gears alone.  Good price if you want the higher ratio.

Andrew

No, just $29 diff as the regular s model is $99.

From what I've seen, the models run $100, $150, and $200 at most retailers.  I thought only the STX came in the higher ratio.  Now I'll have to go look again.

OHbassaholic

OK, now I see what's going on, there is an SC model.  I was thinking everyone was fatfingering the C instead of the X.  So now we add a $130 model into the line-up.

First of all guys, thanks so much for your feedback and opinions.
$150 in the US and almost $180 in Korea. That's normal and I am used to it now, 70% of Bass fishing stuff comes from the US, 20% from Japan and only about 10% comes from Korea. (aproximate figures). That's why there is such a difference in price (export and import).

All of you need to have a  ~beer~ on me. Thanks.
