Those are awesome looking, but you aren't going to catch anything without any hooks  ~roflmao

On a more serious note: how do you decide what size trebles to use?

I got pet fish that hang onto my lures until I pull them out of the water.  Then they let go and swim away so I don't have to lip them and get my hand torn up and smelling fishy. ~roflmao

Most bass lures use #2, #4, #6 or #8 hooks.  I generally use the biggest hooks that won't affect the action of the lure in order to have the best possible strike-to-hookup ratio.

Is there an advantage to using PVC?

The biggest advantage PVC has over wood is that PVC is completely waterproof.  That means that PVC baits don't need to be sealed before testing or painting, so that's one less step I have to do.  Plus, you don't have to worry about a PVC lure absorbing water if the paint is compromised.

On the flip side of the coin, wood has its own set of advantages over PVC (buoyancy and ease of carving are two of them), so it all comes down to personal preference.
