I just bought some new seats from Lebroc (Awesome seats by the way). So I was wondering what the best way to keep them clean without harming them. The seats I am replacing are in pretty bad shape and I think its from a harsh cleaner used by the previous owner.
One thing that I want to keep in mind about it is that most cleaners have a strong smell that through the day would certainly end up on my hands. My fishing is bad enough without having something else hurting it.
The only thing more depressing than not catching fish is not being able to go

BOATS

I just wipe mine with clean water and dry.

I live in south alabama, 98% humidity most of the summer. Mildew is a issue down here.

Same here in West Central Alabama also jonboy. I'm sure a lot of other guys will chime in also but, I have a 2011 Bass Cat Pantera Classic. I use Dow Srubbing Bubbles to clean my vinyl boat seats per BCB with good results. Sure, clean water on a clean cloth will clean most boat seats after a day of fishing but as you already know after a while the mildew will show up sometimes. Also, one needs to use some type of UV protection to give long life to the vinyl. There are many products that will do but I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on my seats and it last about 30 to 60 days on the vinyl depending on fishing conditions. The 303 Aerospace Protectant makes cleaning the seats easier and also keeps them looking like brand new. It is sold at most boat dealers and marinas, it can be used on leather, plastics of all kinds, rubber and fiberglass. Like I said before, there are many products out there on the market but, I have great results with the 303 product. I know a lot of boat owners who have been using it for years with great results also. Just saying !!

thanks for the reply's. Like most Ive used armorall for most things but was concerned about the oily residue getting on my hands and baits. Is that 303 something like Armorall or is it a sealer that dries out? Thats something I will look into, thanks.

Never use Armour All on boats seats it actually does more harm than good and will cause the covers to get dry and hard over time.

As crazy as it sounds dawn dish washing detergent is one of the best products to use, just mix a small amount in a bottle with water spray it on, wipe it clean and then rinse it well.

I will look into the Bass Boat Saver.  I have always used Armorall on my boats and I have owned 5 of them now.  I've never had any problems other than the oily feel, which goes away after some dry-time.
