Thanks guys your info has been priceless lol.

What I am trying to say is that we invest a lot of money over the years on plastic baits and I have had issues with some breaking down. Also as more of the classics are discontinued, its kinda cool to have some later.

Just curious if there are any special considerations to be taken (besides the obvious) to aid in the preservation of these baits.

I bet a dab of olive oil would bring back some old dry worms to life.

Olive oil is organic and will rot and ruin the baits eventually. get an oil based scent and use that or use what is called worm oil which you can get from a bait making supplier, better yet just put the baits in a zip lock bag and seal them up and keep them out of the sun and they will last a long time.

I was hopin you would chime in..thanks

Keep them sealed.

I have plastics that I bought as far back as five years ago at least. Most of them shelved because I bought something else along the way that seemed to work better. I'll sometimes give a bag to a co-angler in need and they seem to fish them as long as any new bait.

Yep, sealed bags, out of the sun and the coolest spot you have, you don't need to freeze them. I have some from the early 90s that I'm going to start using for practice.
