Whats say we get this thing kicking off starting April 1st?
My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

Cool... How are "you" going to run it? April will be crazy for me, but I may be able to post some weekend fish here and there.

Yeah I have been OT OT OT at work. April I have more OT and some cubscout priorities....Includes camping at Kingsley tho yall might not want that, 4 - 13 pound hawgs this year if your on FBN yall know. May me and Lou are deffinitely in  ~shhh 8)

I think I will start it normal off the bat. Get the new people used to the game, then maybe toss in some "curve balls" later on to make things interesting.

I might as well get the rules for this thing posted now to make sure everyone has time to prepare.

Florida Monthly Bragging Rights Competition:
1)5 longest fish of the month.
2)Must have a picture taken of the fish as proof, and next to some kind of measuring device. (ie ruler) If at the time of the catch you don't have anything, use your fishing rod, mark the rod or something like that, and measure the rod later with both pictures of the fish and you measuring the rod.
3)You will be required to post the pictures to the thread, and document the length yourself. (I will be keeping track as well, but its up to you to make sure that not only are you culling your fish properly, but that I am properly keeping track as well.)
5)Updates will be given weekly as to where everyone stands. (Please be courteous and timely with your documentation. In other words, don't fish all month and then come in with your 5 biggest at the very end.(Unless you could only get out 1 day at the end of the month). (If that's the case, you need to do something about that  ;D) -- I will do a progress report for each week either Monday night or Tuesday night so that it gives everyone the chance to fish the weekend and get all the pictures loaded on the thread with the measurements.
6)All contestants have to state that they are IN for the months competition by posting "IN" on the thread at the beginning.
7)This is the most important rule of all....THIS IS A FUN THREAD!!!!!! NO CHEATING!!!!!NO DOUBLE PICTURES OF THE SAME FISH (Unless you happen to catch it another time out, which is possible if its one of those homebodies).

I need more practice, I can only catch short fish on a twitch bait right now  :'(

Practice... ?? I am good to go. If yesterday would have been April 1st, I would have been high 70's in the  measurements. Can't wait, the glades will be at peak season next month. Water level is way down, and looks like it may be a drought season. You know what that means.....  ~gf

No rain down here, partly cloudy. Fishing the canal later on where I nailed the 5lbr 2 weeks ago. Can't wait.

I like the looks of that us 27 canal, it has the cul-de-sac canals, thinking of trying it in april or when water is down,
just a stick with a string tied to it
