First time on the lake and also first time fishing in Arkansas!! Launched out of the ramp on the southeast corner. Good ramp though it all looks kinda shady as you drive in! Started fishing there along the shore- water was pretty stained/dingy- and caught 2 bass pretty quick on a wacky rigged trick worm in Green Pumpkin w/Red flakes! Slowly worked up the lake fishing a spot for 30 min or so then moving on. Stayed mostly on the east shoreline as I wasn't following the markers very well(didn't see John's reply on the other post about the missing markers). I did run into Eric and Eddy!! Was nice to meet them and they said they had caught 3 so far that morning. I ended up catching 4 total all on the wacky worm. Smallest was 11.5" and biggest was 2lb12oz. Only pattern I could kinda say worked was hitting isolated cypress trees in 3' of water and/or throwing around the flooded trees along the shore. Didn't even have a hit around a dock though I fished a lot of em! Ran almost 13 miles, fished about 6hrs, and caught my First ever Arkansas bass!!

Basics- water was stained, looked high due to flooded brush along shore, temps were 80-84*.

The water is a little high but not much. The last few times i fished erling the bite has been terrible. IP donated the lake to a private organization and they are supposed to make some big changes. Hopefully they install some permanent boat row markers. Well how did you do at Columbia? Ever since Columbia filled back up their are floating logs everywhere. They will float in and out of the boat lanes. I hit one year before last and totaled out my 21x triton. Wasn't a bad deal because I got to upgrade to the Legend I have now.
