Just got a new to me Nitro Z-9 and it has a HDS 7 factory installed flush mount in bow, had on last boat and didn't like how flat it sits. Could use some suggestions or pictures of what Nitro or any boats owners of where they installed their locators, right or left, floor or bow, Ram or Bracket?

Check put a company called Precision Sonar. They make brackets for both the Dash and the Bow to hold one or two units up to 12 inches.

I don't have one but I have read nothing but great reviews of their product. I will probably get at least the bow mount one for the next boat I get. It positions the unit dead center over the Trolling Motor Pedal and they come on two heights to accommodate pedal bases with cup and tool holders.

He makes them for specific boats including the Nitro series.

Also has some cool things like a Steering Wheel Spacer that moves the wheel back some and gives you more room to use your electronics.
