Thanks for getting this posted Andrew! I've got it on our FB page now too.  ;)

I've attached the points sheet to the bottom of Andrews post above.

I fully expected everyone to whack em.
Started off on a dock and had a limit of unders by 0730 using brush hawgs and sinko's. With a limit in the box I started searching for upgrades. Found some grass on a shallow flat and started throwing reaction baits. The Pure Poison bladed jig in bream color was the ticket for big fish. Tried slow rolling it but it got down in the grass and moss to much and would get fouled. Started a fast retrieve where it was just hitting the top of the grass and those big girls couldn't stand it.
Used a Dobyns 736 Champion rod, Revo 6.3 reel and 65 lbs braid.
The Pure Poison has a big heavy hook designed by Greg Hackney. Most people wouldn't attempt it but I boat flipped all of them. Hook was buried in the roof of the mouth on all but one. The biggest had it in the side of the mouth. I did net the 5.75 crank bait fish. Bait was gone. Always a good sign when you can't see the bait when they come up and do the head shake.
On a second note, it looked like a lot of those fish have all ready spawned out.

Great to see and visit with everyone. Look forward to getting back on the Bend next month. That should be a good one. Go south if you want to fish for spawning fish or stay north for post spawn.

Congrats to the winners and a big Good Job to Andrew as our club pres.  ~c~

Congrats to the winners!!  I caught fish, just no where near the right ones.  It was good to see everyone.  I couldn't believe we had such a good turn out being it was Super Bowl Sunday and rainy.  That says great things about the club and how its run.

Great job Russ and all that found them Sunday

Thanks Ron. Surprised we didn't see you there. Hope you guys can make the next one. I don't know if we missed the big wave or if it's yet to come. I saw a lot of fry in the shallows and would normally get bit by a buck in those areas. Acted very middle to post spawn.  :-\

I finally got to sleep just before my alarm went off and said nope, I love that lake and hated missing it, love Toledo as well but not burning all that fuel for convers so I'm 2 behind already  ~gf

I'm not going to be able to make the Toledo tournament, either.  On call that weekend.  If there was better reception on the water I would take a chance, but just cant risk it.  Honestly though, it really doesn't hurt my feelings much other than missing out on the camaraderie.  Yes, I had to look up how to spell camaraderie.
