I have a secret little spot that's really not so secrete. It's near a busy intersection near my house, but it's loaded with fish.

I wanted to get the finesse rig out for a run. Ran down there this evening after dinner. Had a fun time. Caught 5 and missed a nice one. Biggest ran about 2 pounds, the rest were dinks. Even caught a crappie. First one on a senko lo

Found a mama goose sitting on a half dozen eggs too.

Zman Big TRD's in "The Deal" color wacky rigged.

Even got a little bass thumb!

Awesome. This rod is super sensitive. When I hooked into the bigger one, it was fun. I let him pull off a bunch of drag since I had 8# fluoro on, but it had a ton of backbone. The 3" little senko's are a bit too light with wind to wacky rig.

Very happy with my decision.

Glad to hear that bud. Have always heard that the Loomis sticks are the best.

This new Loomis is a lot better than the previous green sticks. Feels better than the DX Dobyns too. Now a rod built off a Point Blank blank is a whole different animal!

Rock please be careful.  Cork might stick a hook in it.   ~gf

Your crappies look a little different, I got about a dozen of these today

Thanks for the report Rock and glad you got out and caught some fish on your new gear.  ~c~ Nice looking fish and too bad you didn't catch a few more of them Crappies to go with that one. VA now your talking a dozen of them are about enough for supper.  ;D

Honestly, that was the first Black Crappie I've caught in Oklahoma. We get a bunch of them down south, but not up here. Most are the White's like your's.

I was surprised how hard that little bugger faught. At first I had no idear what it was

Thank you. I have some bearings coming for it today (I think) that should give it some more distance and less resistance on the spool.

Thanks Lip. The place I caught these, I'd have to be desperate to eat them. This place is so close to the road, it's full of everything that gets sprayed, dripped and spilled on the roadway.

I know what kind of place your talking about. Sounds like the retention ponds we have all over in all the sub divisions around here and they have some nice fish in them also but no way would I think of eating any fish out of them but a good spot to go catch some fish with some of them being nice ones.

Agreed. They hold some big fish. Nice place to catch a few and test stuff out.
