Has anyone ever heard of this brand of boat? If so what can you tell me about them. Iam loking at one to possibly buy for my first bass boat. It is a 1999 model and has a 115 Mariner on it and is 17' . Any help would be nice.

         thanks,

The only thing i found out today from Stokley's Marine was they thougkt they were made in the eastern part of Ky. They also said they had alot of wild color schemes. The one i looked at was white with a red stripe. The hull design looks like a Allison. That is all i know.

The Legend boats that I know about were build in Midway, Ar. that was production site, and there design site was Streetman,Tx.  Their phone number is 1-888-657-5051 and web site is:  www.ridewithalegend.com

email is :  teamlegend@legendmarine.com

I understand that they have a lifetime hull warranty!
Hope this helps if it is indeed the boat you are asking about!

Thanks for that site Ricky, I will try to follow up on it tomorrow. From what i can see in the picture the hull design looks different. I dont know if there was a name change down the line or not.

I'm not sure either David, but reading some of the info, it might be a different company with the same name! But it was a shoot in the dark. Maybe its the right one!

Everything I have heard has been positive, An add said that they only make one boat the very top of the line.

Thanks to all, I am going today to lok at one more time and take it to the water and see how it does. The only bad part of that is it is the river, not a very good place to test one out.I know the dealer fairly well, maybe they will let me use a day or two. Thanks for all the help.

Well i did get to the water with the new boat this weekend. ;D The boat did really well, had some choppy and smooth water to run it on . The ride was a lot better than i had expected for a 17' boat. Handeled real well on top end and in the turns, top speed first time out was 55 mph, could have probably pushed it a little further, but i thought i would save that for next time.Thaks to all for their support and encouragement.

I fished with Gary Yamamoto last March in the Bass Masters tournament. He was in a new Legend. He liked it. I think Genmar owns that too.

I found out more on my NU-LEGEND boat today  ~c~ They are still being made right here in KY.just down the road .I talked to the owner for quite a while and he gave me all the info on I could possibly need. The 168 hull I have weighs only 800lbs. Most of their customers are in Florida .He said that no one around here would carry them because of the BIGGER name boats on the market. He assured me that if there is anything at all I needed ,I could still get it from them.
The Shadow boats and molds we were all looking at here earlier were purchased by NU-LEGEND .He said that Billy Westmoreland had something to do with the Shadow boats at one time.
They make boats from 15'-21' and now are also making a tunnel hull for racing.

Just thought I would fill everyone in on the latest I have found out about MY RIDE  ;D

I just happened to stumble accross a guy that lives about 10 miles from there and he was the one that told me they were still in buisness and came up with a phone # for me and gave it to me today. The owner also said he would get me some brochures in the mail too.
