Didn't realize there was a gun section.

My name is Armand, and I'm a gunaholic.

Let me put it this way, the AR isn't my favorite gun. I own more than I keep track of.

I like SIGs

1911s are cool too. Not my favorite, but supposedly they are necessary?

Sig and Glock are my favorite handguns as well. I like to have the right tool for every job, so I have AR's are among my tools as well.  ;D

Welcome, Armand! I suspect we could supply a small country from the collections on UB. My handguns are all semi-auto, no revolvers. Walther PPK for carrying in a sport coat. Kimber Ultra for normal carry. Harvey Casson Custom Match 1911's for Camp Perry. Custom 1911's with threaded barrels for work. Rifles are in .308, .30-40, .50. A few other pieces scattered around. I'm slowly thinning the collection in retirement.

~bb I'm just starting our addiction, Mother Nature and myself. We had all our weapons stollen years ago and after heart break it was just to expensive. But we've started. Got our M & P's for carry and range work. I have mother playing with some other stuff but she can't put her shield down ao I might get off cheap with her.

I want to play with Sig's and Glocks and go from there.

Fishing is more than just a hobby

If I get down that way, Mother and I can have a shoot off.

A good safe doesn't cost anymore than a Glock. Bolt it to the floor and keep your collection in it. We have three weapons that are never in the safe. My EDC, Linda's, and a backup that I keep in the master bedroom and that's in a small pistol safe that's also bolted down.

If someone was successful in getting in, they'd have better luck steeling the dishwasher than my guns.  ~roflmao

I've shotna few glocks but never owned one. Always been a XD guy, albeit top heavy. My EDC used to be an XDs in 45. That gun actually froze on me, 100% the fault of Frog Lube.
Current EDC is a P320c in 357sig.

I have a few wheel guns, they have beautiful triggers. S&W 460v, 625JM, and an old 627 Magnaclassic

There's nothing like having every. single. person. at the range piss their pants and get mad at you (even after being warned) when you fire off a 460 out of a 5" bbl.

Yeah, me too. I like Glocks and Sigs.
I have a couple of Ruger revolvers, and four shotguns (three Berettas and one Remington 870), an AR and a couple of hunting rifles with my Marlin 30-30 being my favorite.
Like Princeton_Man, I think a safe bolted down to the floor is a must have.

Oh, you are one of those shooting a 460 or 44Mag? lol
Those are fun to shoot, but no fun to be next to it.

rman

in my defense I ALWAYS give warning before shooting it

My EDC is Glock in .357sig, I do love that round. I swap out barrels to .40 for most of my practice though because it's cheaper and less work to reload. Glock has never been much to look at and for the most part if you've seen one, you've seen them all. They just do what they they were designed to do very well.

No longer own any wheel guns. I used to have a lot of .357 and 44 mags and I wish I'd hung onto them now. I can't believe the crazy prices they get Colt Pythons and  29 Smiths.

I'm ammo"woops"ual, I love 'em all!
Well, nah, I really don't care for GLOCKS. Nothing against their function or reliability, they're great guns and go bang when you pull the trigger. I don't like the grip angle. I'd take one in a heartbeat and be happy to have it, but as long as I have choices I like better I don't see that happening.

I gave my oldest a S&W 642 Airweight a while back. He recently traded it for a Ruger American Compact 9mm. That's one sweet shooting gun.

Sig is my weapon of choice as well. I don't have quite as many because of my fishing addiction. I can't imagine all the guns I would have if fishing didn't monopolize my time.

ive sold many a sig and regret/miss them...

had a killer trio of P220s

posted on a forum asking for suggestions to go hog wild on the stainless p220 (which was one of 356, Sept 2005 GOTM).
Ended up wanting another gun and sold those 3 to fund

P220 X-Six

This will never get sold.

Sold a few others before I left CA, and made a killing doing so. I put the money aside to re-buy them in TX, but ended up using the money before we left lol.

P245, which was my second. After selling the first I made it a point to get another and swore I'd never sell it lol

P226 Mk25

P938

Also foolishly sold my Russian AK, and Serbian Pap M92. Still kicking myself in the butt for not grabbing an Izmash on sale before the stock dried up, but we were about to move and our $$$ was tied up.

I like Sig, they seem to have a high bore axis for my comfort though.

As far as AKs, I got one of the first Century C39v2s to hit Louisiana. I know the company's crappy reputation, but when I saw that milled receiver and walnut stocks, along with the price tag? I said to myself, even if I replace everything in it, that alone is worth it.

Going to replace the cast bolt and carrier with a forged group for peace of mind, then eventually slot the fore end for a cleaning rod and add a bayonet lug. If I don't SBR it and add a suppressor.
It's held up well so far, 3,500+ rounds and counting, never a hiccup. It's been sitting idle more often than not, have too much work to do on too many guns. That cast bolt is starting to get a rippled look to the lugs, I don't like that.
