Well that time of year is approaching us again and it's time to sit down and hash things out for next year. TCTC has more members than ever before. We've been averaging above 20 boats per tournament. I believe it because we have good rules/by-laws and we enforce them. Plus, the top three share their success info with the rest of the club in a family friendly environment.

We'll start off with a meeting place and date. There are several good places to sit down, visit and voice opinions. A central location seems to draw the best crowd.

However, I'm suggesting we meet at the Teague boat ramp in Bossier, burn some hamburgers and hot dogs if the weather is nice. Either way, post your ideas and topics you want brought up.

Our Annual meet and greet will be at Gullo's Market at the corner of Stockwell road and shed Road.  The date options are October 4 at 6 pm or October 12 at 6 pm.  Please let me know which date works better for everyone.

Do you have a location suggestion?

Andrew has Gullo's picked on Oct 4th or 12th. I'll say the 4th, may be gone the 12th.

Let's get going on anything y'all want to address for 2018 Rules. I'm attaching a .pdf version of the 2017 Rules for easier viewing/download.

Just add your inputs to this thread and we'll compile them for the meeting. I'll get it started:

1. Add to rule 8: b. Any dead fish will not be eligible for any Big Bass pot (Big Bass of tournament or BBOY).

2. Tourney dates: Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6, Jun 3, Jul 1 (4th is following Wed), Aug 5, Sep 9 ( due to Labor Day), Oct 14 (due to Columbus Day), Nov 4, and EOYB Dec 2.

Heck, I may actually be able to make this.  Finally moved into the new house, Dads better and life is slowing down finally.  Either date is good for me.

Texas lakes on the free weekend in June or July. I'd have to look it up.
But it's a way to bring TX lakes into our schedule without everyone having to purchase a license.

Agree with Russ...about the Texas lakes (Not the Kansas)...I say bring them back period, or at least eligible for a vote.

Here's all I can see so far:

3. Bring back TX lakes either in reg schedule.

Any other subjects??

Just curious, but why do we not fish a January tourney and skip like July or August.

Russ199A

Everyone is recovering from the holidays and many folks are not in the area visiting family. It's usually cold. It's still deer season / duck season.
Some of our biggest weights have come during the summer months.
It was voted on a couple years ago and passed by an overwhelming majority.
But it you want it brought up for discussion and a vote, put it on the list.

Big bass has to be alive. If it's dead it doesn't count as big bass for the tourney or the Big bass of the year. Still counts towards your weight, just not big bass.

Other than that, really nothing has changed.
Steve and Andrew will post the new rules once finalized.
