The construction of the new trailer required me to acquire a different transom savor. Since there is no keel roller on the trailer, it requires the transom saver to hook over the trailer frame that is inset a bit more than my former Ranger Trail Trailer. I purchased a new saver from VEVE Inc. out of Minnesota and it has arrived.  This thing is very heavy duty and in fact shipping weight was about 7 lbs.

The other purchase was a set of McGard wheel locks.  They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  I was just concerned that the new trailer wheels and tires might be a bit tempting for someone with opportunistic thoughts.  Although I realize that they are not the end all of security products it won't hurt to have a little protection for the trailer wheels and tires, and the spare wheels and tires

The only thing left now is waiting for the carpet guy to get all healed up from his surgery and I can get the carpet installed.  Still have to buy new rod straps for the deck and will order a couple sets in the upcoming days.

The new Ranger cover is in production and should be here about the end of April.

You could put a set of steps on the front of the trailer, makes it easier getting in and out from the ground.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

I was thinking the same thing.

Probably will do steps one day but not yet.  Perhaps after everything else has been completed and I have a good feel for the trailer and getting in and out.  By then I will be able to fully understand exactly what I would want.  Besides my cash stash has been severely abused and needs to heal a bit.

My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

Skunked again

Put back up lights on it. If you backup at night, you'll love it. Also handy when backing up in parking lots, that way people know what you're doing.
