Which 6 practice baits are tied on at the beginning of the day?
Now I know different lakes and seasons can make changes to the line-up. But as a mainstay on your deck which six are almost always there?

Swimbait/swimjig are tops for search baits
Cranks unless its like Guntersville
Whopper plopper
Frog always even in clear water
Hula grub on a brewers slider jig
T-rigged something

Always there will be changes during the day but these will get me bites anywhere anytime.

6-8 months out of the year (depending on, well, EVERYTHING) a spinnerbait (or two, or three) will be at hand. No finesse baits for practice unless the conditions are severe.

I'm a Spook guy, or maybe a buzz bait, Pop R or Chug Bug when it comes to lookin' for fish. Some froggin' around docks, but we're about 99% vegetation-free in our reservoirs.

Topwater(Pop'R Torpedo, buzzbait, depending), shallow or medium crank, deep if I'm outside the grass, spinnerbait or lipless. Worm, tube, dropshot/shakyhead. The tube would be either "T"rigged, or on a jig depending on amount of grass, dropshot if it's cloudy, shakyhead if sunny.

Rodney,

I found it interesting that you throw dropshots on cloudy days and shakyheads on sunny. Is there a reason?
I change colors but never thought of the difference between the two other than if the fish are looking up or down.

On sunny days the fish tend to go a bit deeper or closer to the bottom. actually both are in the boat, there is one thing about the "rules" that I've learned, they're not hard and fast, only general. I should have qualified the statement a bit, it's for when i'm fishing docks and or walls, if I'm on weed edges or deeper rock piles I'll tend to mostly dropshot. Again, not hard and fast just general.
