Launched from the state park at 0600. Morning was cool, water was quite clear and surface temp was in the mid 70s. As the morning warmed so did the water but the cooler mornings is helping bring it down a bit. By noon most places we visited was 78-79 degrees.
We found fish 17-20' down but couldn't make 'em bite. It gave me to time with the new NuTech MegaBlade. It will get down there. I also tried a 1 oz SpinJig without success. My buddy is still working on improving his reflexes. He missed a couple of bites and I boated one Spotted Bass on a Wacky rigged Senko. We came in a little after noon. I have a feeling things picked up in the evening.

Thanks for sharing your report Jim. Those temps sure sound refreshing when compared to our temps in Florida right now .  ~sweat ~sweat

Nice job with the spottie skunk save
Thanks, I tried my best to get my buddy a fish, it would have made the day even more special for him. There's a bit more to the story and I'll share that soon as I get time.

Thanks for the report Jim and sorry you couldn't get your friend on any real hungry fish. Maybe next time he gets out with you it will be better fishing. Glad you was able to put at least one in the boat. ~c~

Thanks for reporting on your outing Jim. Sorry the fish didn't cooperate the way you would have liked but maybe this will give your buddy some incentive to get back out and try again.
