I was thinkin' about our New York buddy when I was takin' some fish pics today for the IBass competition- these are for you, sir.

On that last one I'm smilin' a little more on the inside, thinkin' about those IBass riches!

Except where were the sixes and sevens? They do live here- I've caught 'em. I never lost a bass yesterday, so it wasn't that I blew any chances.

It's inexplicable things like this that show me that I still no nothing about this sport. And it's what keeps me pluggin' away, even in a lowly pond. A lowly pond, by the way, that the neighbors all say is "fished out".

Just think tho'- what a day it would have been if a few of those bigger bass WOULD have bit...

Pacific NW Ron

Some nice looking fish.  Congrats and thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

I live in Louisiana and don't have any ponds llike that, sure wish I did I'd love to get the boys in on some decent bass.

You need to make sure your copper-nose and crawdad population stays high in that pond  :-* it will get you to the 8-9's

Congrats on some great catches, just because they are in a pond doesn't mean they bite easy ~bb Well maybe in the spring, there is only so much spawning ground ~shade

Mike, this is one of the ponds that I put 20,000 crawdads in two years ago. It surely makes a difference (and it had an established big bass population already).

The pond thing is drivin' me batty. Many folks just don't understand. I need to write about it?
