40 degrees when I left home. Launched out of the state park about 11:00 and fished for about three hours. Very little debris on the main lake but still quite a bit once past the Coast Guard auxiliary station. Sun and clouds with nothing more than a light breeze. The lake was at full pool, water was stained with 2'+ visibility, with surface temperature at the ramp at 50. I found water as high as 62 degrees in one of the coves.

Couldn't buy a bite, I foul hooked what I believe was a small walleye on a jerkbait and it got off at the boat.

Man, we are in the same boat but a thousand miles away... I've been twice in ten days and haven't had a sniff... :surrender:

With the conditions, I expected some serious action. Found schools of bait 25-30' down. No sign of a hungry fish. Kicking myself now for going after the smallies up near the mouth of the river.

Saturday around here was beautiful but only for fishing, not for catching I guess. We've had a ton of ran also, and in our shallow lakes that can mean a complete flush of the water, this tends to turn the bite off for a while. That and our water temps dropped about 15 degrees in the last 10 days, that' will shock them also.

Conditions sound very similar. I'm off the rest of the week, might have a redo.  :)
