New here thanks for having me. So I'm looking to get a MH fast casting rod and I'm trying to see if anyone here has used the Tatula XT rod and the Tatula elite rod and what are the major differences they have noticed.  Thanks in advance.

I haven't fished either, but I've handled the both series rods. Big differences: Price, the blank, superior guides vs budget, the overall fit and finish are leaps and bounds apart IMO. The XT rods didn't feel refined to me. The Elite series is also double the price. I think the XT models might get discontinued with the new Tatula Bass rods coming in late last year. Looking at the price points, the Elite $170+, Elite AGS $199+, New Tatula is $150+ and the XTs are $100. If I were you I would consider the new Proycon rods @ $80. If you're considering Elite AGS rods, I think you should take a stop over at the Dobyns rod forum, at that price point your trekking toward Champion XP rods.

I almost bought the shakeyhead spinning model (New Tatula, with the full cork grip) because it was light as a feather, a delight to handle and had a controlled tip. I ended up with a Dobyns Fury 703sf because it's what I know and I got a great deal.
