I have been looking for a boat fender product that would fit better on my old Ranger 365V.  I do have a pair of standard Taylor bumpers but where I need to use them there is no place to really tie them off so they are secure.  I started looking for a product to meet my needs.

I became aware of a product made by AKUA but really did not know how they worked even though I have viewed them in the ranger catalog and some other places on line.  They looked interesting so I decided to call AKUA and ask some questions.  I was connected with Alan Kinkead the inventor and Owner of this product.  After a long and enjoyable chat, I decided to buy a pair of these items to give them a try.  A couple days later they arrived at my house.

Now that the boat is home from service, I have finally got to try them out to see how they fit and to acertain if they would be solid enough to work for me.  This item attaches to the boat with a couple of large and special suction cups that really holds the product tight and secure to the boat.  Just put the fender in place and push down on the suction cups and these things are rock solid.  There in an additional smaller suction cup on the bottom of the device that allows you to fasten it further down the hull for extra stability and to aid with the shock adsorber effect.  The main suction cups are mounted through slotted holes at the top of the product that also allows for some movement as the boat bumps into a dock while in tie down position.  All I can say is that I can put them anywhere on the boat and don't have to be near a cleat just place them where I need them and press down on the suction cups.  I have added a few pictures to this post with the product attached on my boat just to give you an idea of how good they fit and how easy they are to use and store.
