I'm going to downsize my fishing boat.  Just don't need this anymore and I'm having trouble getting in and out in my old age.  :)
It's a 19-foot Pro Gator, 1999, with a 150 Mercury and Minn Kota Fortrex 101 TM.
New carpet, new seats, new hydraulic steering.  It has been carefully maintained by Walt Adams, certified Mercury technician.
I'm wondering what to ask for it.

Base Line indicates something like $8K.  Not including electronics or Trolling motor upgrades.

Thanks Bud, the TM, Humminbird GPS and Lowarance fishfinder are all in good shape, all replaced in the past few years.
All three batteries replaced last year...and I also added a 3 bank charger.

Don, you know the drill.  Condition is everything and certainly some premiums are to be gained with boats in super condition.  Folks will pay up for a good condition boat with upgraded stuff included thats for sure.  Used boats are bringing some good prices these days.  A boat with some warranty value on the motor is also a benefit but that is not your case.  I do believe that is what will hold your price down a bit.

DonM

Thanks again Bud.  I'm not expecting top dollar but just don't want to give it away either.  It will make someone a good boat. I hate to let it go, but I just  purchased a 16-foot stick steering Tracker.  It brings back old times from 40 years ago!  :)

Thanks.  A friend and fishing buddy is interested.  We will take it out so he can drive it.  We've fished out of it before though and he likes it.
I found a fantastic deal on a Garmin Striker Plus 9sv today:  $450. shipped.

My friend bought the boat, with the provision that I can go fishing with him some.  :)
I will get my "new" one this weekend.
I had enough "stuff" in my boat to start a sporting goods store.  So for more than 30 bags of Watermelon Red Flukes alone.
12 rods and reels...6 life jackets (I have no idea why), a brand new Pro Qualifier still in the box and never opened...3 tool kits. . .3 scales. . . hundreds of bags of soft baits... several bags of NuTech jigs. . .numerous crank baits, most never opened, 3 Whopper Poppers never used. . .a box of top water baits. . .two bags with maybe a hundred hooks and slip sinkers. . .6 new spools of PowerPro braid. . .a paddle, two fish nets, two measuring sticks. . . winter rain suit, summer rain suit...sweat suit, stocking caps, gloves, 4 pairs of sunglasses...numerous sunscreen, mosquito repellant, fish attractants. . . 2 first aid kits. . .trust me, much more...
I plan to organize, keep what I might use and donate the rest to the high school bass team.

Good deal. Glad it was a quick sale complete with a fishing invitation.  I gotta say that is a whole bunch of stuff you had in the pro gator.  Sounds like you may have needed an intervention.   ~c~ ~c~

Sorry to hear you let the gator go but the smaller boat will be much easier to handle on the lake and ramp. It won't handle the wind as well but I don't reckon your not as mad at the bass as you were back in the day...

I think I'll use this one more.  My wife is wanting to fish some too.  At the price I paid for it, if I hate it, I can easily recover my money.

Well you sold the boat and now it sounds like it's time for a yard sale. ~lo

There's also a ton of stuff in my garage.  Not sure what I'll do with a lot of this, but it will go to good causes before it's over.  :)

Just to follow up...
I took the "new" boat on it's maiden voyage yesterday.  The little 40 hp Suzuki ran like a top.  It goes fast enough for me, guessing 30 mph. The Minnekota worked perfectly.   The boat handled and steered perfectly.
The BILGE PUMP worked perfectly...and it's a good thing because my boat started filling up with water shortly after I started fishing.   I checked the plug (it plugs from the inside), started checking hoses and found it was a broken aerator hose.  For some stupid reason, I then turned on the aerator and it suddenly got much worse.
The bilge pump was barely keeping up with the leak.
We got on plane to go back and it didn't leak while going wide open.  I will replace the hose now.  :)
I am very pleased with my purchase and would expect to find a few little things to address.
I have ordered new stickers for the sides.  Where it says Panfisher Special, it will soon say "Old Man Special".  :)
It was such a pleasure being able to climb in and out so easily, getting into water I couldn't access in the other boat, and not having to get up and down to change seats/
Will be back in action in a day or so.

Update:  After three trips, I don't like it much.  Too little for two guys to bass fish.  The seats don't sit high enough for flipping or pitching.
It was a little bumpy in the wind.
It ran 31 with two big guys and gear in it though.
Anyway, it's for sale, and I'm getting a bigger boat again.  Live and learn.
My wife is overjoyed, as you might imagine.  :)

Don, when you get another boat you may want to look at a ladder to mount on the tongue of the trailer, a bit pricey but makes it easier to get in and out if you want to at home and easier to get out of the boat when you pull it up onto the trailer at the ramp.

I remember Tracker used to make a  16' stick-steer aluminum rig they called a panfish special. The same problem with seat height was one of several complaints for those as well. Tracker's reply was that it wasn't built for bass fishing and most panfishermen don't flip/pitch but if you do the you can always stand up.  :P

Good luck with the sale Don.  ~sun

Yes, that's what it is, a Panfish 16.   It's fun to drive and it would be great for crappie fishing.
I think I've found the next boat already.  It will most likely be my last one.
May get to pick it up tomorrow.

Wow Don.  I see you don't mess around.  Looking forward to see what you picked.
