Lake Norman / Lake Hickory / Moss Lake / Lake Rhoadhiss

Looking at taking my 10 years old son fishing this Saturday... We live between the following lakes... Lake James, Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, Moss Lake, Rhoadhiss, Lake Hickory... Just wondering if anyone knows where they are spawning, I want to teach him about site fishing but really need some help on where they are starting to bed....

They were moving in early this week. I saw fanning but nothing on the actual beds.

If the cold rain did not delay things they should be on the beds Saturday. If I get out today I will update here.

Hickory. There will be at least 1 tournament on Saturday.

Follow up as promised. I can usually find fish on Hickory. WRONG. Water has been mid to upper 50s and bass were staging in the mouths oh coves. Got there today and it was still 59 to 60. I saw zero beds, no fish close to the bedding areas. So I turned around and worked the mouth areas. Nothing. Barren Lowrance HDS. I Hit creeks, at least the ones without 5 boats in them, nada. Points zero. Flat points, long points, deep and shallow points. By now the usual Hickory breeze hits, 20 to 30, normal
on Hickory but I have a wounded motorguide and the swirling wind was kicking my butt.

I'll go again tomorrow and hopefully I can get you a pattern. Fish 1 Gene nuttin.

Wow....I am so aggravated.
Once again, NO bedding.
I hit the lower half hard and I have yet to see fish on any of the places used every year. Water temperature have not moved 58 to 60. I finally found huge bait balls in the creeks suspended.

I tried everything and never even had a bite from pan fish. Boat traffic was really heavy. Hopefully the water jumps up to the mid 60s and the spawn will kick off soon.
