Was fishing today, had the Ultrex running upfront and I was on the back deck with the remote control just enjoying the beautiful weather and the total lack of people.
Looked down in the water and saw a horrible oily sheen on the water. Trimmed the motor up and saw oil dripping out from under the lower cauling. Lifted cover off and had a quick look, but couldn't see anything particular.

Dang it  ~b~ ~b~

Cut our fishing day short and put the boat back on the trailer and to the shop where he quickly found a loose hose. Fixed FOC and on my way. He also told me that if it leaks again he will replace my gear oil for free  ~c~

That's the kind of break down I can handle. Sounds like you have a good mechanic. Doesn't bill you for every possible minute.  ~c~

We were quite a long way from the ramp when I saw it, so it could have been very bad had any alarms started sounding or had any engine failure  :surrender:

Kind of. This was the 4th oil related issue I've had in the last 12 months......and I reminded him of that fact when I was there yesterday. He is a good guy though and I trust him!
