To all my friends on UB that have helped with their knowledge I want to say thanks. The Stratos 201 Pro Elite ran flawlessly all week on my vacation.
All of the upgrades and rewiring has seemingly fixed most of the issues. The boat jumped on plane and ran 63 mph at around 5200 rpm.
The trolling motor ran flawlessly with the new wiring and circuit breaker.
I have learned how it handles in lots of wakes as Presque Isle Bay was very busy. Seat time has really taught me how to handle and drive this beast of an engine.
I had fun all week with the boat. thank goodness because the fishing was terrible.

We never like it when the fishing is terrible but that may have been a blessing in disguise. Looks like it gave you some quality time getting to know the new boat. Must be a world of difference from the Crestliner.

Zippy, what a great feeling it is after a series of issues and a lot of money spent to finally have everything working like is was designed to do is wonderful.  I know the pain you experienced all to well.  I also have experienced the joy when everything comes together and the boat performs again like it was a young puppy.  I am sure that made your vacation better even if there were not that many fish.  Congratulations.

Thanks guys!

Jim,
I did catch fish just not like it should be for May in Presque Isle.
It is worlds away from the Crestliner. Drier and smoother ride and doesn't get spun like top in the wind.

Bud,
It was very satisfying to have done a lot of the work myself and have look cleaner and functional at the same time.

Glad the gremlins and demons have been cast from the Stratos! I was really feeling bad for you buddy.  ~c~
BTW, I believe you have about 10 more mph in there.  ;D

It's about time buddy  ~c~  I was hating life for ya with all the issues you were having with it.  Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the Stratos.

It was hard to get to full speed as the water was either rough or too small this weekend. Erie was pretty windy and the other two lakes are too small to run all out, I run out of room too fast.
But they helped me learn how far I can lean the Stratos in the turns without sliding. Yes I was having fun.  ;D

Zippy, I'm glad that you got most of your issues resolved. It sure is frustrating being a new boat owner and encountering problems. You handled everything great and in the long run should be really happy with your nice rig .
