Time for redemption. I know I need a faster start than last year. And need any fish in October.

I am not going to be in fourth place this year.

Looking like all the big guns are here this year. Now who is going to get through the season with enough time on the water is the big question.
Looks like a couple will be busy guiding, one has boat troubles, and two are boat poor right now. So that leaves Barry and I with the advantage. See you in the Classic.

Fishing is the one thing people are doing around here. As a matter of fact boat prices have skyrocketed.

The fishing industry here has take somewhat of a hit, but people are still fishing, but people don't want to share a boat with a stranger. The guide group that I was a member of has gone out of business a couple of weeks ago. I will work on doing it by myself as things get better here.

My neighbor caught a 4 and 2 yesterday there. I blanked out. Had to move the baits super slow.

All this talk of "big guns", "advantages", and claiming trophies before the tournament started caught my attention.

Turns out here was no guns involved at all, maybe a advantage moved maybe not, and no trophies have been awarded at all.

What is this the tournament BS thread?

Some idiot that fell of the turnip truck and hit his head I reckon. No other explanation I can think of other than that BarryFL guy thinking he was slipping back into things without his nemesis. Or was he mine...

He did leave word he had put some new Omniflex 6lb mono on his 202 Zebco pistol grip combo, stocked up on his 6" Mann's grape worms, and was quite sure of himself. I'm quite confident you guys have nothing to worry about. Last I saw him he was literally tying his line around the worm. I asked him where the hook was and to quote him he said, "Hooks were for pussies, haven't you ever heard of a wacky rig."

I spent 1/2 the day washing my boat fixing junk on it and worrying if it was going to crank or not. Somehow ended up at the lake to only see if it would crank and blow some cob webs out. Of course I threw in a few rods and a couple 3700 boxes of tackle , just in case.

Well what do ya know I do still know where one or two pets still live. Only problem was I had absolutely nothing to write with.

I just laughed at myself and figured Ill give them this one 21" catch for free.

Guess the 21 yr old Johnson motor wants to fish one more year. Minus 5 didn't bust it I guess. I didn't see anything pouring out when she kicked off that first good 2 stroke smell.
