What are you trying to do with these reels? I own both and they both serve a VERY different purpose.
Well,,probably looking for something to throw trigs, shakes heads, jigs etc. which I’m thinking the Curado MGL would be better suited but if the value of the Metanium is too good I might get that and find another of my reels for the trigs etc. On a side note I just found a gently used new version Chronarch MGL for around $200.
The Curado 70 MGL is small spooled, fairly finesse based, and meant for shorter distance casting. In this aspect, it excels. I bought mine for short range flipping/pitching/light punching. It fills that role perfectly.
The 13 Metanium is probably my favorite all around reel of all time. Those things will bomb lures like no tomorrow with little effort. I wish I had a few more of them.
The Chronarch MGL is also another favorite of mine. I've owned 4 and I'm down to 3 now. Another excellent long distance caster that is buttery smooth.
If you're trying to throw light T-Rigs and Shakeyheads, I'd go with the 70 MGL.
