Man I feel like I'm stealing posting up these skunks! I just realized one huge mistake on my end. I 100% always thank the lord when I catch a fish. I always give thanks for a safe outing....WRONG. I have been so occupied trying to pattern fish I forgot the latter! I have taken care of that and maybe I can find a few more fish to play video fishing with.

Mike, no one ever told me that livescope don't work if you can't  put the boat over them! I've found out the hard way it's not a sure thing even if you do see them swimming on the screen. I even borrowed a couple shiners from a buddy and put them in front of those suspended fish and watched them swim over and push them away!

I know you're going to ad one of the live systems and warn you.

I did get to fish a boat that had both Humminbird and Garmin and I strongly suggest you see both in action before you buy.

That Humminbird shows you a 360 in incredible detail of what's on the bottom but I'm not sure it actually shows fish moving. Garmin has no where the structure detail but you can sure see them swimming around. I bought 2 Garmins, put the Livescope up front and use the console unit in UHD split with side view. If one dies you can get by using the 2nd unit front or console with the snap in mounts.

Take care!

Now that hummingbird has their own live version it may be the way to go. I the shallow waters I've got here I don't use any of it that much. I have grown to like the ability to look up under a dock and see what's there even if it's only brush.

My buddy lives on live scope and I've watched him waste an hour or more on inactive fish. I guess the key is going to be to learn when to give up on a group of non feeding fish and check them at a different time.
