Launched the Xpress at 8:15 am, back on the trailer at 2 pm, caught a total of 5 bass with 3 legal and big fish of 3-9. Air temps 38 to 67, mostly clear skies and S wind 5-10 mph, water temps 45-47.5 with visibility of 1-2', tides extremely low early at -1.5' and rising all day. The river stage was 7.8' at Merrill and falling. We have had some of our coldest weather in several years recently and the water temp reflects that, which is my excuse for not catching more that 3 keepers. Never could get anything going other than catching my 2 smaller keepers on back to back cast on a OG slim 6 early and big fish 2 hours later on a worm in about 8'. Nice day for a change with 2 to 3 more days of warmer weather before rain and cold temps come back.
Retired and loving every minute of it!
