Hi all.
I just replaced my original Safari prop with a Katana prop because I needed a new prop and ,apparently, they no longer offer the Safari prop.
At speed setting 3, steering is marginal. At speeds 4 and 5, steering is nearly impossible and could be considered dangerous. The issue is when trying to turn slightly right or left, the unit "dives" in the direction you are trying to turn. If you're not paying attention, this damn thing will nearly throw you out of the boat. I have searched and can't find any adjustment to "tame" this radical steering issue. I'm close to replacing the Motorguide with a MinnKota but I thought I'd ask if anyone has had the same issue and if there was a fix you could recommend.
Thanks in advance.

I used the troll perfect for many years until I finally made the switch to Minn Kota.  The troll perfect works great and will tame the beast you speak of.  It is a quick bolt on installation and the shaft tension is easily adjustable with a thumb screw.
