Fished a stretch of the Glades that I haven't fished for quite a while. Every time I drive past the ramp there are zero trailers in the parking area. I arrived to a foggy ramp. Fortunately sunrise was not too far away and the fog past quickly.

Took a quick a run and started with a HB frog. No takers or signs of life. Switched to a popper and started to fish a point when it suddenly disappeared after 2 pops. Swept the lure, and fought a nice 4lbr to the boat.

Fished the popper for a little while longer, no takers. Switched over to the lockett lure swimbait and a
fter a few casts, hooked up with another nice bass.

Few casts later connected with a really nice bass but it threw the hook after the 2nd jump.  :'( :'(

Switched to a CPF Thumper worm, and connected with another nice bass.

I basically spent the morning working the vegetation with the thumper and swim minnow. The quantity bite was not there but I had a good quality bite. Ended up boating 9 bass.

Called it quits around 11:45, and beat the thunderstorms home.

Thank you for reading.  ~beer~

Those are some nice bass.
Is that the ghost watermelon locket swim bait?   I had to look them up as I have never used them.   Very reasonable price right now.  I don't need more soft plastics but your fish pics have me really tempted to buy some.

Great report and days fishing Lou!   ~c~ ~c~

F1sh-On, that looks like the Watermelon Ghost. It & the Grey Ghost color are my two favorites.

Great video Lou!  Nice fish.  Are you using the weighted hook on the Thumper too?

Thanks man! No, I'm not using a weighted hook on the thumper. I throw that with a 1/16 bullet weight held by a bobber stopper and a 5/0 offset Super line EWG hook.

I had that explanation on the video but I edited it out for time purposes. Now I realize how important that detail was.

I'm going to make a rigging video on how I rig all my Everglades baits.  :-*

Time2Fish

That would be great!  Thanks Lou!
