Launched at 8, out at 2 with a total of 8 legal bass on the day. Cloudy skies all day, tide rose 1' in my time on the water, water temps 52-54 degrees, air temps 48-65 degrees and visibility 1-2'. First fish on a chatter bait and the rest on watermelon red UV speed craw with 3 from one hole and the rest scattered. Sort of a typical winter day with most of the fish coming in a 2 hour span for deeper holes, 6-8', in some smaller bayous. Best 5 about 7 pounds and chunky.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

Thanks for the report, that speed vibe is a mainstay for you down there. I used to fish it a lot as well but have kind of fallen away from it, need to get back to it.

BassmanRudy we typically have from 1.5 to 3' tide changes once a day except for a neap tide when you have almost no change which usually sucks for fishing and Mike the UV speed craw has been hot lately for sure and like you, I had not used it a lot recently until my buddy clued me in. Much rather fish my spinner baits or chatter bait but moving baits have  shut off for me recently with the wild water temp changes.
