Hard to believe 15 years went by so quickly. Many of the things you thought of doing in retirement are still undone. Lots of reasons for that with the main one being laziness. Put off the hard, dirty work for something pleasurable. For many years that pleasure was fishing. Anywhere was alright as long as I had fun. I fished with old friends, local pros, elite pros and best of all...a few members of UB. I used the name, Smith, for most of my career and the early years of retirement. A direct descendant of the large family of "Smiths" that inhabit DC and then spread around the world. I plan to fish the rest of my retirement even if not from a bass boat. Maybe from the back of the wife's cruiser. Or, I have two boat slips in a large dock. The dock extends from 3-60 foot of water. And I have a chair And a beer cart. I can catch bass, crappie, catfish, walleye. white bass and drum from my dock. Not a bad retirement for a guy in his mid-70's.

I don't drink beer, but I'd be honored to share a seat next to you on that dock, just blowin' smoke.

Having been lucky enough to spend some time with the Wiz at his dock, I can say it was a great time plus he showed me a few LOZ secrets.

Of course, i lost the big grub shortly after but didnt lose the other one.
