On the water at 8:30 and out by 2 and finally something to feel good about. Had a good day with 30+ fish all on a 3/8 War Eagle double willow in watermelon with a UV speed craw trailer with over 15 being legal size and the best one on the day going just over 2. Fish were holding in the eel grass early and the inside edges mainly. Tide was high and did not fall due to south winds 15-20 mph pushing it in and holding it, water temps 71-74 and visibility of 1-2', river stage was 10' at Merrill and starting to rise again. Weather wise, temps 71 early to 82 after lunch and skies were mostly cloudy all day. Rain forecast for the next 3 days to mess up the water again but plan on a day or 2 next week.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

Nice Catch!
We were over last week and into the weekend. The Creek was up and muddy and the river was running and muddy. We had some much needed work to do on the ole houseboat. But, did find time to set out some Catfish lines in Sumrall. Did pretty good. Cleaned about 12 good channel and blues.
Of course we left this past Sunday just when the river was getting right and the fish were going to start biting. Back at work now.
Be back on the bayou in two weeks. Providing that our newest grandson doesn't arrive by then.
Keep Posting!
