Hope it's ok to ask here.  My Daughter has moved to whatever that place is in the subject.  We're in Il.  Is there be any bass down there?  Is it worth me drag'n the boat 50,000 miles?
Thanks

That's just across a bridge from Biloxi. Coastal area, lots of rivers and streams.

I think it depends on the situation. You just visiting for a week or two? I wouldn't drag a boat that far, there's probably some rental places nearby.

Plenty of places to fish. You have Fort Bayou near Ocean Springs, and the Pascagoula River, in Vancleave, which are both in Jackson county. You have the Biloxi River, The Tchoutacabouffa River which are in Harrison County. All lead to the Marsh and the Gulf of Mexico. Just note if you fish below the railroad tracks you have to have a saltwater license, if you fish north of the railroad a freshwater license is all you need. I would drag my boat. Not many places around that rent fishing boats anymore. Fish camps around Jackson no longer rent boats and is they did it would just be a small Jon boat.
Hope this helps..

Thanks, they actually live in Ocean Springs.  I assume most of those areas are brackish.  If you rinse good after is ok to run a fresh water boat in there?  Thanks

Bayou

If you launch at the Harbor. That's pretty much full on Saltwater. But if you Launch in Fort Bayou near Fort Bayou Estates that's brackish or you can run to the Shed BBQ off of Hwy 57 towards Vancleave and launch there (full on fresh water. BYW. some of the best BBQ around. You will want to eat there.
But, if you are wanting run around in the bay... Just flush your motor good and wash you boat after you have been in the Bay.
I hope you have a good trip to the south and enjoy the good food that's in the area. Who, knows, you might catch a few fish too.
