This thread is for everyone, old and new rod builders, to show off your work.

New Builders - this is especially for you.  There are a lot of people interested in this craft and showing your work as a new builder might encourage another to start this crazy hobby.

I'm finishing up a couple of Rainshadow SP 844's for primarily saltwater use.

Those look great! Those epoxy ramps over the silver trim wraps look awesome. I've never tried those Microwave guides, how do you like them?

I don't build a spinning rod with any other guides.  All they take is a flick of the wrist.

Frog rod in the works. Just need to balance it and glue the butt cap on now.
I ended up with a couple of tiny bubbles in the epoxy ramp nearest the reel seat. I thought about drilling them out with a tiny bit and filling in the holes with epoxy, but it's probably not worth the trouble.

My son had said he wanted this one until he saw what thread colors I picked  lo

I guess it's a little loud, but when I think "frogs" I think "green." I guess I could've gone with a tamer green.

Parts were:
NFC LMX-Delta MB736-1 blank
Forecast carbon fiber rear grip and fighting butt
CRB LZR guides and tip-top
American Tackle G2 CCT E-seat
American Tackle drop shot clip hook keeper

I'll probably build a similar one out of the X-Ray lineup to use for heavier worms and jigs. Kind of a "junk fishing" do-all rod, and use this one mostly just for frogs.

Very cool!! That blank will stick those bass nicely!

Thanks guys. And thanks for the guidance, FD. It would've been pretty confusing without your help.

Same here.
Nice work guys

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
