Finally, a HOT Frog bite!!

Fished the Everglades today, and my outing started right in the middle of a major feeding window. Best part, frog was on the menu. Woohoo!

QUESTION:  What is that BLACK THING that is on your line that is slid next to the front of the frog?
Look at the 2nd picture you can see what I'm taking about.  Is that something you slid over the knot?

Secret? Nope. I just keep sliding the bobber stopper up the line each time I re-tie the frog. I guess it's serving as knot protector of sorts.
