water temps are 61°F - 62°F.  smallmouth are 'active' and prepping to spawn.  good time of year to practice catch/release.

but can be FUN.

out last saturday.  didn't get to go 'when' I wanted, but made it out nonetheless.  on the water about 2pm.  off around 730PM.  mighta hooked 15-20 or so.  tried the tube (nope).  got 'some' hits on a berkley maxscent D-worm... but the fish seemed to really prefer the 4.5" HIT worm (berkley maxscent).  wouldn't even look at the flatworm.

texas rigged.  3/16 ounce tungsten bullet weight for current conditions (light)

Best 5 fish went a little over 20.5 lbs.  yes, I did actually weigh fish this time.  didn't grab lengths, but the better fish were 20 inch class.

caught a bunch of these.  2lb class

one of these (really cool).  calling it a meanmouth.  no toothpatch.

couple of the better smallies
3lbs 8 ounces

4 pounds 11 ounces

best of the day by an ounce
4 lbs 12 ounces
