i run a 98' gambler outlaw s.c. w/ 150 merc e.f.i..i run a turned 4 blade trophy + 24p on a 6'' j.p. 5900 rpm and 67 mph.wot.very stable ride at wot w/ 4 blade.i tried a 3 blade tempest 25p and got a few more rpm but the ride was not as easy or comfortable so i decided to stay w/ trophy.love my gambler.most asthetically looking boat built, fast, and a pleasure to fish out of.

All I can say is last summer I bought a used 1993 Gambler and checked it over.  It was like new.  I checked other manufacturers and what IO found is any boat can be in just as new shape as long as the owner was careful with it and took care of it.  I looked at a 2002 Stratus that was literally a piece of junk and then looked at a Ranger that was pristeen.  Next was the 1993 Gambler that was in almost like new condition for the money I could afford and I would never go back .  I love the Gambler.  I have had no problems with the ride as I run a 4 bladed stainless prop and the ride is incredible at over 70.  Just my 2 cents.

Just make sure that the hull is not cracked or dinged up really bad and check the transom for stress cracks etc.....
