My partner and I won a 2007 Nitro 591 :). I paid him off and kept it, however I have never road in one. I ordered the 200hp OptiMax on it. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of this boat or Nitro boats in general? Thanks

My advice?

Don't ask people what they think.  Just go enjoy your boat.

Congratulations!

Good advice. ~c~ I think you will find that most peoples favorite boats are the ones they presently own. Your boat is the best boat out there because it's the one you fish out of. Good luck and enjoy your new boat.

Not to be rude but whats the point of a fourm if no one states there opinion. I want anyones opinion who has rode in a 591 nitro, good, bad, or indifferent.

here fishy,fishy

I've been with Nitro for Five years, and this boat is the best tournament boat pound for pound out there. I have ran all of the nitro line, except the new Z9. The two boats that nitro builds that are true tourney boats are the 591 and the 901. the only difference between the two, is the 901 is alittle longer and wider and alittle more storage. the 591 with the 200 opti will more than likely scare the living daylights out of you. that boat will go 75 to 80 mph. if you prop it right and set the engine at the right height. I plan on buying one in the next couple of months. be careful and good fishing. Make sure to put a 36volt trolling motor on there and you'll have that rig for along time.

Never been in the 591 so nothing to report.

I started with a Nitro 640 75hp and my next Nitro is the 929 225 Opti I have now.  I love my boat, both have been good to me.  The wide decks of a Nitro are perfect for me as I'm 6'3.5 270lbs and I like my room.  Other boats have the same beam but that width is only back by the drivers seat where as a Nitro keeps the width as it goes up to the front.  IMHO most other boats tapper to fast and make me feel like I'm standing on the tip of a lawn dart.

Did you get the new FUZION hull I know thats a $2,000 addition and have heard it makes the boat lighter.

I do not like how Nitro and a bunch of the other boats have gone to the floating console I think they look cheep.  I they went to it to prevent cracking around the console but I still don't like how the boats look any more with it.

As far as opinions everyone has one - you know the saying, you won a boat and by asking an open question about what does everyone think will at one point in time find you getting an answer you don't like, because some folks just are just like that; Trash talk anything thats not the same as what they have.

Go enjoy your new boat, let us know how you like it, your going to be doing the driving and as long as your happy thats all that matters.

Any boat that gets you from point A to B safely is a good boat. This said Nitro makes a good quality boat and it is safe both are good reasons to own one. ~gator

That is my two cents.

You won the best brand of boat built!

Nothing beats a Nitro for all around performance, comfort, space, and price.
