Fishing Log Organizer FOL2002

Fishing Organizer Log FOL2002TM is a Windows® 95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP software application developed to track and store fishing results, display pictures/maps, analyze fishing strategies and help establish fishing patterns. The software enables you to store and easily find fishing results for an entire day, fish species, lake, lure etc., and will calculate the total weight of the fish in ounces and pounds and total pounds (good for tournaments). The Report Preview displays the record information in an organized report including pictures. The List Report will display the fish species, lake, lure, lure color, time caught, structure, depth caught and fish weight in pounds for a given search criteria. There are checkboxes to easily view and track your best and worst fishing days! The software was developed by tournament/guide fisherman Robert Parkin and will help catch fish for both tournament and recreational anglers.

Thank you Laurie for running and maintaining such a resourceful website!
Glad to be a part of Ultimatebass.com!

I'm looking forward to making new friends and answering any software or fishing questions you may have. The recently updated FOL2002 Version 2.0 includes an additional program called "Fishing Plan, Lure Selection and Results" that includes data for locating and catching smallmouth and largemouth bass for all seasonal periods. Our website www.FOL2002.com has a complete description of the FOL2002 software along with actual screen photos.

If you have any questions just let me know.

My pleasure Bob P.!

Your site does have an incredible amount of information on it about the FOL2002 and the screenshoots make it really easy to understand. I can't wiat to get a copy so I can try it out.

Mike has been using Excel for a really long time to add in his fishing reports but it isn't really search friendly. I am looking forward to being able to search for the date, lure and lake all at the same time and it looks like it has a spot for every type of information that you could ask for and Mike keeps a lot of different information so it will be great to have something that he could use easily ;)

Hi,
Most of the time those big "Hawgs" are in the deeper water but that is not always the case. I remember the biggest bass I ever caught was in very shallow water. It was early spring and I was fishing the bank with a floating worm by casting as far to the bank as possible, sometimes hitting the bank itself. I approached a small shallow point and made a long cast as the water was clear and the sky was sunny and I was trying not to spook the fish. The worm landing on what looked like a rock, with a slight splash, but then I started to see the worm and (rock) move. There was a big (rollover) splash exposing a big tail and the 'rock' was gone and the worm was floating in the water. My cast landed on a huge bass that was sunning itself on a little point just barely covered with water! I twitched the floating worm a few times and saw the water start to swell behind it. I stopped the retrieve and there was another big (bite) splash surrounded with white water. I set the hook but could not move the fish without risk of breaking my line. The big fish started swimming towards me to deeper water. I was using 8-pound line and took my time playing the fish in deeper water until it tired. The fish was big but seemed weak or tired; perhaps it was a post-spawn female. When I finally got the fish to the side of the boat it was a largemouth bass with a huge mouth and belly. I hauled it in the boat and it measured approx. 24" and weighed at least 8 pounds! The fish was successfully released to live and catch another day.

I just got my softwear (won in the Tuesday contest) I love bass fishing and computers. haven't had time to play with it a lot yet but WoW this is a must for your comp, it has everything you need and things I never thought about logging ~c~ and the price is cheap for comp softwear that does this much
Great Job Bob P.

You got that right Tim...as far as computer software goes, this package is quite affordable...no reason that every fisherman with a computer doesn't own a copy of this great software!

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you find the FOL2002 software useful!

I used the 'Fishing Plan' option a few weeks ago to get a post-spawn gameplan and quickly rigged four rods and went to the lake with a plan. I caught 3 big fish, each one on a different rod. One on a spoon, one on a tube and one on a dropshot rig.

The location was key and having a fishing plan helped me eliminate water and find where the fish were biting.

I also use the paintbrush program and hand draw a lake map, mark off spots that I fished with no bites and locations where I caught fish. I save the file as a .bmp and link the lake map picture file to the log file. This gives me a general idea where the hot spots are the next time I fish the lake.

I just received my software in the mail a couple of days ago.  It is loaded and I'm just looking for a little spare time to start working with it.  It looks awesome.

Review:
I recieved a copy of Bob's FOL2002 software in the early months of 2005. Knowing I wouldn't be able to use it until ther ice melted, I had to wait a bit. Now, I've had the opportunity to break it out and give it a whirl. The extent of my computer savy is posting messages and photos and checking my email, that's all! With this program I was able to lay out a clear and concise detailed report about each fishing trip I have taken this season. The detail that is available to me allows me to make specific notations about spots I have come across and I can even list GPS coordinates. This is a good program. At 12.99 or so, it is a value that any serious angler should jump on. I recommend this software to anyone who keeps tabs on their fishing.

I won a FOL 2002 at the end of October in the tuesday contest. I'm thrilled that now I can keep a fishing log on my computer. I'm not very computer friendly  lo IF anyone can freeze it up I can. All the features on it are easy to use and I'm thrilled that I can use it. Great product. I'd definatley recomend it to anyone that wants to have a computerized fishing Log.

I added a 2006 Lunar phase calendar to my website. The text data can be copied into an FOL2002 record for easy reference or you can always go to the website from the program and view the web page directly. I listed the dates by month so it is easy to read and the time is eastern standard daylight time.

I hope we all have a great 2006 season!
