Of course all depends on the time of year etc etc etc but 9 times out of 10 I'll go for soft plastic  :)

Drop Shot a XPS Roundtail minnow or just cast the XPS Roundtail minnow weightless or with a splitshot and let it sink slowly and give it a few jigs.

I have two I use.

1) 3" Original Gitzit tube Crawdad/Black Fleck with a 1/8 jig head inserted, fished on a spinning rod with 8 lb mono or 10 lb Fireline.

2) 4'' Ringworm rigged texas style on a very light wire 1/0 offset hook and as light a bullet weight as I can get away with.  Fished on a spinning rod with 8 lb mono.

Creel Limit Zero

Toss up between time of the year and the kind of water I'm fishing.  It's between a finesse worm and a jig.  I voted soft plastic because I think it sways to the worm a bit more than the jig...

My go to bait for this past year was a white 1/4 oz roostertail. It seems like most days when it was tough i would tie one of those one and get something.
