boat in garage?

I'm moving to a new house with a garage.  I was thinking about keeping my boat in the garage.  However the heater and water heater is in the garage also.  Does anyone think that this might be a little hazardous, or am I just being overcautious?

Are you planing on keeping a car/truck in there...I don't really see a differance as long as you have a devent gas cap!

Yes, my wife's car will also be in the garage.  My gas tank is a plastic one with a little pop up vent on it.  I'm not sure what  a devent cap is.  I guess I'm wondering if the fumes that vent from the tank will be ignited by the flames on the heater and water heater.  Now that I think about it, I have seen people keep their lawn mowers and 5 gallon gas cans in the garage....I guess there is no difference.
