The fish above is the only bass landed today  :(
I should of caught at least 6 bass, but due to my lack of concentration and a couple of over-runs, I missed and lost the rest.
My first bite was on a 4" popper. The bass took the lure very gently as it hit the water and I was unaware that it was on until I started the retrieve. It felt a good size, but it jumped and threw the hooks half way in.
The next bite was on my black cherry Vibrashock. A good sized bass hit the v-shock right at the bank as I was just about to lift it out of the water to recast and it took me complete by surprise.....missed  ~b~
I missed several other bites from smaller fish on my wacky rigged Alluringbaits salty sticks (same as the one that caught the above fish).

Once the sun came up and burnt through the clouds/fog, the bites dried up completely and it got very hot  ~sweat ~sweat

I moved to another lake on the way home. The bass there were feeding heavily on the mating dragon flies and were not at all interested in anything I threw at them.

I called it a day and went home with sun burn  ~sun  ~b~

The stuff in the photo is hydrilla and just under the surface, but it's just near the bank....the rest of the lake is covered with surface slop (water chestnuts) and that's where most of the bass are hanging out in the heat of the day  ~sun ~sweat
