It's amazing what you can come up with if you really look! I wanted to do a cat for a while now but didn't know what to use for whiskers. After searching walmart for some time I found a 3ft long necklace that was coated in some wax. It was on clearance for .75 cents. Looked like perfect whiskers to me. Buttercat and Bluecat...

Those look fantastic.  My club fishes two events a year on the Ohio (Smithland Pool).  If you could keep them from getting hung up on all the stumps back in the creeks I'll bet you'd kill 'em with those baits.  Those are very well done!

Those are whisker's off the last catfish we caught! lol. It's a wax coated material. Work's great and is very plyable.

Man, I haven't catfished in quite a while! Used to love it when I was younger. Going out at night, big fire, 'beer', girl's, etc. you know the routine. Now I like going to be earlier and not cleaning fish all night. I still take the kid's every now and then but just cant get the bite's like we used to.

I can remember catching about 50 speckled and butter cat's in one night. Usually really small joker's but their the good eatin' one's. Only a couple time's did we catch some over 2lbs with the exception of one night in Eureka Florida on the Ocklawaha river. We were having something keep breaking our 12lb test like crazy, so we took the time to rerig with 20lb on a couple poles. Didn't have that 20lb wet for 10 minutes and he hit it. (of course it was my wife's pole) she thought she was hung for the longest time and was just trying to break the line. I went over and tried to help her out, well buddy when I grabbed the pole that stick she thought she was hung on almost pulled the pole out of my hands! We got it up to shore and it was an 18lb bluecat! We made phone call's and woke up all our friend's just to show them that dinosaur. It stayed alive for about 2 hour's in the cooler so we ended up letting it go. I'll try and find the pictures sometime.

Was cranking a rockpile Tuesday afternoon on Norman, strike, hookset, then after about 5 seconds...uh oh. This is NOT a bass.  ^-^

Turned out to be an 18# flathead that was just butt ugly. At least I got my Tuffy back.  :)

MaumeeBasser

Well done ~c~, I've never seen that before!

Great Job Lip. Caught many a bass with a bullhead sticking out it's throat back home in Idaho. Non yet, here in Iowa.
Surprising what a bass will attack.

River Rat316

You haven't caught one with a bullhead sticking out of its throat in Iowa because all the locals are eating the bullheads themselves ~c~ lo
